This part is located within the pressure relief valve section. The pressure relief valve, commonly also called the PRV, relief valve or safety valve, is used to reduce the pressure in a system. It is set to open if the system pressure goes above a certain point to prevent the system from getting damaged . Each PRV has an internal "bar" limit set, once this bar is reached the pressure relief valve opens and the build up of water is discharged which in turn decreases the pressure within the system .
